Exploring concept, color and form, I love to create sculptural and decorative work. Sculptures can be simple in form, complex in emotion or color-filled and eye-catching. Adding surface texture, color, and mixed media subtle or deeper meanings evolve, compelling the viewer to stop, touch and reflect. Working both in a classroom setting and in my studio, the ideas for sculptures come from constant interaction with other artists, my own previous works, deep research and experiments in new techniques, glazes and firing methods.
