I am a multimedia artist with an MFA in printmaking. I retired from my 35-year teaching career in Massachusetts in 2020, eventually settling in Austin. I have worked extensively in printmaking, painting, digital photography, paper making, natural ink, cyanotype, and black and white analog photography. I do all of my own film development and printing in the small darkroom and studio I set up in my home in Travis Heights. My work in all media is mostly (but not exclusively) landscape and my styles vary from medium to medium and project to project. Part of my motivation for making art is to share the fragile beauty I find in nature and the emotions it summons.
