The Rug Hook Project began over 20 years ago with the purpose of providing income to women in a rural Mexican village. Since that humble beginning there are now 18 women that are designing and making hooked rugs for sale in San Miguel de Allende MX and in the USA. The proceeds from sales provide their households with financing for food, education, electricity, gas and purified water among many other necessities.
