My pottery is entirely hand-built. I use tools and found objects to roll or press designs into the clay, creating surfaces that invite touch as much as sight. Bright, hand-painted colors are central to my work — they reflect the joy I feel when creating. As the daughter of a Palestinian father and a Scotch-Irish American mother, my pieces often reflect the richness and complexity of my heritage. Some works are inspired by traditional Palestinian embroidery motifs, reimagined in ceramic form. Through clay, I explore identity, memory, and the beauty found in cultural intersections.
