Hector Kriete is a ceramic artist from Cali Colombia, who has been working in the Austin, Texas, community for the past ten years. He found his passion for ceramics at an early age, taking his first pottery class in high school.

In addition to making his signature functional pieces, Hector’s worked with local pottery studios as a production thrower, sells his work at local shops, participates in local and regional art festivals, and recently opened Amano Pottery Studio, where he teaches pottery classes and hosts workshops.
