Swanky Ceramics is a collaborative studio practice shared by myself, Alex, and my wife, Laura. With over a decade of experience teaching ceramics, Laura brings a deep technical and creative foundation to our work. I entered the medium through her, drawn to the physicality of the wheel and the quiet focus of working with clay.
We work exclusively with stoneware, firing to cone 6, and every piece is hand thrown. Our practice centers on the beauty of functional forms—objects meant to be held, used, and lived with. From pet bowls to everyday tableware, we’re interested in how handmade ceramics can add intention to daily rituals and foster connection.
Our inspiration comes from clean lines, layered glazes, and the tactile nature of clay itself. Each piece is crafted slowly, with care, to create work that feels grounded, useful, and quietly expressive.
